Adgridwork is a great advertising service and it's easy to use. I will tell you how everything works.

First you have to sign up and make an account on Adgridwork. After that you will have to register your website and fill out info about your website, and create your own website ad.

This is the thread originally from the support forum because there were issues with posting messages.

Okay I have just had an idea, seriously I think this could REALLY be great for ZF.

Firstly, I am not saying this because I want one, straight up, I'm not like that, it's just this idea came to me through something I was doing.

I was altering my site preferences and it said enter your email address so people can contact you, as the site admin.

My email is ...@yahoo.co.uk The other email account I have is full of spam and gets like 150 viagra emails a day, so I really can't use it if I need to read an important message, 9/10 times it'll be in my bulk folder which I never read. Okay, so I went to my cpanel to forward me@myzfdomain.com to yahoo.co.uk, then if it gets spammed I can remove the redirect and nobody will know my yahoo email.

However the zf forwarding address is ferinos@firehawks.zendfree.com pretty long eh?

And it hit me!
Charge zends or real money whichever people want to pay with, and set up zendmail. For example ferinos@zf-mail.com VOOOILA! zf-mail.com is the only .com address not taken, zendmail zfmail etc are taken and for sale *laughs* but the zf-mail.com one is free. This is just a thought, but look at it this way. Someone emails me, in my reply I attach a signature for zfmail and zendfree hosting. Think of every ZF member doing this or have a system that auto adds the signature when people send mail from their zf account.

I reckon this could work out well for ZF. The only cost would be the domain name, which will pay off in the long run, and any scripts, although it could probably be done for free.

After the upgrade could someone please install Nuke Evolution for me? I want to have it in another directory on my website. I don't want the current one to be altered though, so I'll be running two. Could you please install Nuke evolution to a new directory named 110, so firehawks.zendfree.com/110

Sorry but I have to rush off for a job interview, hence the speed of this post. I'll correct any mistakes later but would appreciate this guys. I'm okay with an increase in my monthly posting amount in order to keep the upgraded hosting. Thanks guys

We have had an offer from my dear friend Zac over at ZoomCities.com for a 500 word review of ZF which will be posted on his upcoming web hosting review site.

We are not going to write the entire review by ourselves, thus we beseech each and every one of you users who are hosted here with us at ZendFree with put in a few words of feedback or maybe even a sentence or two.

We will then compile all your replies into the review, and pass it to Zac by the end of this week, which would be Friday I guess.

Idk if this will display but whenever I try to post I get this error

MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue. SQL Error: 1054

there's more to it but that's the bit I copied. Is this just me?

yay the error's back :<

NOTE: the following is a post to go in the suggestions forum. I can't put it in there because of the error :<

There are 2 types of links which can be submitted to ZendFree's Link Directory.

1. Link with reciprocal link required
2. Link with no reciprocal link required

What's the difference?

1. Link with reciprocal link required

Just submit your link with a reciprocal link placed on your website and you're ready to go! All you have to do now is wait for an administrator to approve your link placement.

2. Link with no reciprocal link required

All initial signups require a reciprocal link in order for your link to be submitted to our database to await an administrator's approval.

However, you can get rid of this reciprocal link requirement by paying a one time fee of 50 Zends. (Learn more about Zends)

After you have submitted your link to the ZendFree Link Directory, fill up the template below with the link details you have submitted to the ZendFree Link Directory and then post a new thread in this forum section which is dedicated to the ZendFree Link Directory.
Category:

Just submit your link with a reciprocal link placed on your website and you're ready to go! All you have to do now is wait for an administrator to approve your link placement.

Thank you for your letter of March 16. After careful consideration, I
regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me
an assistant professor position in your department.

This year I have been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually
of candidates, it is impossible for me to accept all refusals.

Despite Whitson's outstanding qualifications and previous experience in
rejecting applicants, I find that your rejection does not meet my needs at
this time. Therefore, I will assume the position of assistant professor
in your department this August. I look forward to seeing you then.

Best of luck in rejecting future applicants.

Hi everyone!

I decided to make a tutorial on how to get your website up for new Zend Free members who have never made a website before.

Uploading your website is really easy to do. I used to have trouble with it, but i caught on real quick. I will begin to list some steps, and explain them.

Step 1

Log into your cPanel (http://www.yoursite.com/cpanel)

Step 2

Once your logged into your cPanel scroll towards the bottom where the Header Title says Databases. Click on MySQL Databases.

Step 3

Once your at MySQL Databases you will see "Create New Database". Enter the name you want your Database to be and click the Create Database button next to it. Once you have done that you now have a MySQL Database setup, but your not done.

Step 4

Scroll down until you see MySQL Users. Create a User name and password and click the create user button below the form. Please make sure you remember the password for your MySQL User Name. You are going to need it soon.

Step 5

Once you have created your MySQL User scroll down until you see "Add User To Database" and click add. Then apply all privileges to the user and click submit. There you go! You have finished making your MySQL Database.

Also here is a helpfull tip from thesuda

You can use mulple installations or different CMS/FORUM SCRIPT on single database.
Just create new user for each installation. (Not compulsary, just for your convinience) and add it with ALL PRIVILIGES to database.
Now every time you install a script, it uses its own prefixes for its tables (e.g. Wordpress uses wp_ , smf uses smf_ etc) so your tables remain distinguishable. This helps in uninstalling scripts too.

Step 6

Return to your cPanel home page and look for Files. Click on File Manager. A pop up will automatically show up with some options for you to choose. The default is at Web Root (public_html/www), so you should select that if it's not already selected. Once you have done that you will be in your File Manger.

Step 7

When your at the File Manger you will see some folders to the left. Click the last folder which is called www. This is the folder where you upload your website. You can also upload your website in the public_html folder, but i like putting it in the www folder.

Step 8

When your in the www folder upload your desired script you downloaded from another provider. (Mybb, PHP-Fusion, SMF, etc...) Once you have uploaded your file then extract it. Depending on what your using to build your website you should read the READ-ME File that can be found in your website script.

Step 9

After reading the READ-ME file on what to extract it will then tell you what Files and Folders you need to CHMOD. To CHMOD a file right click it and click "Change Permissions" Type in the number 777 and you successfully CHMODED your file or Folder. Once you are done CHMODING the specific files then your ready to run the install.

Step 10

Your READ-ME will tell you how to run the install on your website, but the most common way to get the install part of your website is http://www.mysite.com/install.php Sometimes you can actually go to your normal website link and it will redirect you to the install like SMF does. When you type in http://www.mysite.com/install.php and that doesn't work then try taking the .php out of it so it's http://www.mysite.com/install

Step 11

Once you have gotten to the install part to will ask for your DATABASE NAME, DATABASE USERNAME, and DATABASE USERNAME PASSWORD. If you have forgotten the name of your database please log into your cPanel and click MySQL Databases and you will find out the information. I will give you an example of what i typed in when it asked for those three things.

DATABASE HOST: localhost
DATABASE NAME: kidbeast_skclan
DATABASE USERNAME: kidbeast_jojo
DATABASE PASSWORD: example

Step 12

Once you entered your information just run through the rest of the install wizard and your done. Your website is up, and your ready work on it.

----

If you have any problems going through these steps then please post. If some of my steps aren't clear enough then tell me and i will re- write them. I hope this is useful
